Industry veteran Rob Djurfeldt has joined Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) as managing director, CIBC Private Wealth Management and CIBC Wood Gundy for Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
Djurfeldt started today and reports to Ed Dodig, executive vice president and head of Private Wealth Management Canada and CIBC Wood Gundy.

Djurfeldt resigned from his previous position as executive vice president, senior investment advisor with Wellington-Altus Private Wealth in June after joining the Winnipeg-based independent brokerage in September 2019. At Wellington-Altus, he was responsible for recruiting established advisors and advisory teams in Eastern Canada.
Prior to joining Wellington-Altus, Djurfeldt worked for 28 years with ScotiaMcLeod Inc. before stepping down from his role as national head of the brokerage in May 2019. Djurfeldt began his career as a wealth advisor with ScotiaMcLeod.
