Deutsche Bank has appointed Scott Lampard as head of its Canadian operations.

Lampard has been named chief country officer (CCO) for Canada, effective July 1. He replaces Paul Jurist, who has been CCO for the past 12 years, and is now retiring.

In addition to the new role, Lampard will remain head of markets for Canada. He joined the bank in 2010 after having worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan in Toronto, New York, London, Sydney and Hong Kong. Over the past three years he has developed Deutsche Bank’s markets business in Canada through investments in its fixed income, equities and commodities platforms.

Lampard will now report to Jacques Brand, CEO of North America and member of the group executive committee and will continue to report to Jeffrey Mayer, head of corporate banking and securities, North America.

“Scott brings international experience and local roots to his new role. His deep relationships and broad experience will continue to benefit all of our Canadian clients,” said Mayer.
