Grégory Chrispin has been appointed vice president of investments in the wealth management and life and health insurance executive division of Desjardins Group, the company announced on Wednesday.
With 24 years of experience in the financial sector, Chrispin will take the reins of the division on February 1. He will take charge of real estate and securities investments, selection and management of portfolio managers and investment strategies for Desjardins Group investment portfolios, among other responsibilities.
Prior to his appointment, Chrispin was president and managing director at State Street Global Advisors Canada Ltd., where he worked since 2000. Chrispin also held the position of chief investment officer at State Street, at which time he was responsible for directing the portfolio management team across all asset classes.
Previously, he had held the position of Treasury Officer for the Export Development Corporation in Ottawa.
An Associate of Society of actuaries and member of the CFA Institute, Chrispin sits on the boards of a number of Montreal-based charitable organizations.
