DBRS Ltd. has appointed Husto Loke as president, the credit rating agency said Tuesday.

Loke has been co-president of the firm and group managing director in charge of ratings teams in the United States and Canada. He will report to CEO David Schroeder, and will be responsible for overseeing all analytical and business development functions in Canada.

“I am very excited to be leading DBRS in Canada,” says Loke. “I look forward to helping the agency navigate the challenges facing the credit rating industry today.”

Schroeder adds, “The need for insightful credit ratings and research has never been greater, and we see significant opportunities for DBRS to provide ratings and analytic tools to our clients.”
