The Canadian Public Accountability Board has named Keith Boocock as its new chief executive officer.
His appointment takes effect on October 2. He replaces David Scott, who is retiring at the end of his three-year term.
Boocock has been a vice president of the CPAB since its inception in 2003 and has led inspections of a variety of Canadian audit firms. He was previously the national partner, Litigation Support and Forensic Accounting, at Deloitte Touche LLP, where he was a partner for more than 30 years.
The CPAB board expressed its thanks to Scott, and said it looks forward to working with Boocock, “at this next stage in CPAB’s development.”
