Donald LeCavalier, the executive who had agreed to join Montreal-based Fiera Capital Corp. as executive vice president and global chief financial officer (CFO), has advised the firm that he has declined the position, Fiera announced Friday.
LeCavalier has instead been named CFO of Montreal-based Transcontinental Inc. (the parent company of Investment Executive), where he was recently senior vice president of finance and corporate affairs, and has worked for the past 12 years.
At Fiera, John Valentini will remain executive vice president and global CFO in the interim. He will also remain president and CEOof the firm’s private investments, a position to which he was recently appointed.
