Cantor Fitzgerald Canada Corp. is expanding its investment banking business with the hiring of a new managing director, the Toronto-based firm announced Tuesday.
The firm, which is the Canadian arm of Cantor Fitzgerald, L.P., announced that it has hired David Tomljenovic as managing director to focus on “special situations”, providing advisory and capital raising services for high growth companies.
Tomljenovic comes to Cantor from Beacon Securities, where he was managing director of investment banking. Prior to Beacon, he also worked as portfolio manager at Sprott Asset Management, and as a research analyst at Clarus Securities.
“We are looking forward to leveraging David’s insight and expertise, along with his well-established network of relationships. His extensive industry experience will allow us to tap into new opportunities and broaden the breadth of services we can offer clients,” said Laurence Rose, president and CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald Canada.
