Ed Waitzer — veteran securities lawyer, professor and former chairman of the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) — has been named a senior fellow at the C.D. Howe Institute.
The Toronto-based think tank announced on Monday that Waitzer, currently a senior partner with Bay Street law firm Stikeman Elliott LLP, will now also be working with the public policy research organization.
“Ed stands out for his legal insights, his knowledge of business and finance, and his keen interest in public policy,” says William Robson, president and CEO of the C.D. Howe Institute, in a statement. “He has contributed to the C.D. Howe Institute’s work in the past, and we look forward to further collaboration.”
