Bank of Montreal (TSX:BMO) has appointed three new senior executives who will take the reins in March.

Tom Flynn was named its new executive vice-president and chief financial officer. Flynn has worked at the bank since 1992 and was previously its chief risk officer.

He succeeds Russ Robertson, who moves on to become the bank’s executive vice-president of business integration, the BMO Financial Group and vice-chair of Harris Financial Corp.

He will oversee integration of financial infrastructure across all the bank’s businesses, including the Harris and Marshall & Ilsley Corp. He has worked at Bank of Montreal since 2008.

Bank of Montreal also appointed Surjit Rajpal to replace Flynn as chief risk officer. Rajpal has worked at the bank for 28 years, most recently as the global head of loans and merchant banking.

In a statement, the bank said the new appointees will work to accelerate growth, particularly in the United States
