The British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) has appointed a veteran chartered accountant as a commissioner.

The BCSC announced that Gordon Holloway, formerly of Ernst & Young, McKnight Johnson, and KPMG, has been appointed as a commissioner. Holloway has also served as president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC, and on several boards.

“Gordon is a chartered accountant with over 30 years experience serving investment, construction and transportation companies, real estate development and educational institutions. His financial expertise will assist us in our securities regulatory policy and decisions,” said Brenda Leong, chair and CEO of the BCSC.
