Toronto-based Aston Hill Asset Management Inc. announced on Friday the addition of three new members to its investment management and sales teams.
John Kim is now a portfolio manager for the Aston Hill investment team. Kim previously worked at Toronto-based Sentry Investments and has 20 years of experience in the investment industry, particularly in the area of Canadian equities. Kim will be responsible for a new Canadian total return fund that is still currently in development.
As well, Aston Hill’s sales team welcomed Karl Palmen as vice president of sales in Vancouver and Marco Manocchio as vice president of sales in Montreal this week. Manocchio’s appointment marks an expansion into Quebec for Aston Hill as previously investment advisors in that province worked with the Toronto sales team.
“The addition of these new employees reinforces our commitment to establishing Aston Hill as a premier wealth management firm within the Canadian investment industry,” said Eric Tremblay, Aston Hill’s chief executive officer in a statement, “and aligns with our goals of providing a diversified suite of products coupled with top-tier service for investment advisors with whom we have partnered.”
