Assante Corp. has appointed three new officers to its team of executives.

Stephen Clarke joins the Assante line-up as vice president of marketing. Clarke recently exited the same position at AIC Ltd.

Clive Smith is filling a new position as vice-president of insurance and financial services. Smith was formerly the president and CEO of insurer Royal and Sun Alliance

John Stroud joins as chief investment strategist. Stroud was formerly the vice president of investment banking at Mackenzie Financial, and senior vice president of investment banking for Merrill Lynch Canada.
