The American Stock Exchange today announced the appointment of Patricia Rado as president and chief operating officer.
Rado, the former vice president, controller and chief accounting officer of Public Service Enterprise Group Inc., will be responsible for managing the operations and growth of Amex’s businesses. She retired from PSEG in January. Rado is a former independent governor of the Amex board of governors. She served as chair of the audit committee, member of the finance committee and member of the executive committee. Most recently, she chaired an independent task force that reviewed technology issues at the exchange.
“Patricia Rado is an enormous talent with years of experience and leadership in the financial industry and in public energy companies,” said Neal Wolkoff, chairman and CEO, in a release. “The Amex is continuing to undergo a transformation and build its businesses in a new market structure. Pat is the ideal person to bring on board as we move forward in implementing our strategic plans and growing our business units in a rapidly evolving market environment.”
“I am pleased to be joining the Amex’s distinguished staff during this time of great change and new opportunities,” said Rado. “The Amex has established itself as the leader in product innovation and I look forward to helping lead the growth of Amex’s business operations and contributing to the future success of the Exchange.”
