Urbana Corp. today to announced that it has entered into an agreement to buy a seat on the American Stock Exchange.

Urbana has also purchased shares of the London Stock Exchange and Deutsche Boerse AG, the stock exchange of Germany. The AMEX is a private entity. The shares of the LSE and Deutsche Boerse AG are publicly traded.

The total cost of these purchases is approximately $2.8 million.

Urbana is an investment corporation that is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Urbana’s current focus is buying seats and shares in private and public securities exchanges in North America and around the world.
