Three new directors were appointed to the Bank of Canada’s board on Wednesday.

Federal finance minister Jim Flaherty announced the appointments of Colin Dodds, Monique Jérôme-Forget, and Hassan Khosrowshahi.

“Dr. Dodds, Ms. Jérôme-Forget and Mr. Khosrowshahi bring significant academic, management and professional expertise and knowledge of finance and economics to the bank’s board,” said Flaherty, in release.

Dodds is president and vice chancellor of Saint Mary’s University. His 40-year teaching career focused on financial economics, investments and portfolio management and corporate finance.

Jérôme-Forget, a former finance minister in Quebec, is now a special advisor in the Montreal office of Osler, Hoskin and Harcourt LLP.

Khosrowshahi is an entrepreneur, and was the founder of Future Shop, among other ventures.
