RBC Royal Bank is overhauling its online banking Web site. The changes will be introduced over the next six weeks.
According to the bank, online customers will be able to navigate more easily and manage their finances with fewer steps and more responsive links. All the enhancements were developed over the last 15 months with ongoing input from bank customers.
Some of the new features and enhancements include: money transfer and easier bill payment options; applications for loans, overdrafts, and credit lines; menus on every page for easy manoeuvring; financial tools and calculators; mortgage amortization charts; twice-daily rate updates; personalized views including customized snapshots for personal and business clients; links to news and quotes by Action Direct; and secure email to RBC customer service.
“We worked closely with our customers to develop the next generation web site,” said Jane Broderick, RBC’s vice president for eCommerce, in a release. “Our customers wanted to be able to handle more of their financial needs in one place, so we’re giving them a personal money management centre which will let them do more with fewer clicks.”
