Dow Jones Newswires has signed a five-year agreement with RBC Investments to supply the company’s financial consultants with real-time news and information. The agreement provides Dow Jones News Service to financial advisors at both RBC Investments in Canada, and RBC Dain Rauscher in the U.S.
“This is the most significant agreement Dow Jones Newswires has ever signed with a Canadian client,” said Joseph Lanza, vice president for sales and marketing, Dow Jones Newswires – Americas, in a news release.
Under the agreement, RBC Investments will have full access to Dow Jones News Service. Advisors receive quick, in-depth coverage on everything that affects the stock markets and thorough coverage of U.S. and Canadian companies and trading markets.
The service also provides increased coverage of personal finance issues, mutual and pension funds, and other topics essential to the portfolios of North American investors.
Dow Jones NewsPlus, the Web-based enhancement to Dow Jones News Service, is included in the contract. The site provides a quick overview of the day’s top stories, market updates and links to key content, exclusive columns and analysis. It has already been fully launched in RBC’s Canadian offices, and will be rolled out at RBC Dain Rauscher in the next six months.
