Perimeter Financial Corp. is set to acquire institutional investment consultant MoneyWare Inc.
Perimeter announced that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire MoneyWare, subject to regulatory approval. The deal is expected to be completed in May.
MoneyWare Inc. provides investment consulting services to institutional clients. The company specializes in asset allocation and designing investment portfolios using both traditional and alternative assets. It also offers comprehensive analysis of the risk, return, style and strategy characteristics of mutual funds, pooled funds, and hedge funds. MoneyWare also provides workshops and presentations for financial advisors.
Perimeter’s family of companies includes alternative trading systems in both equity and fixed income markets, (BlockBook and CollectiveBid). It also provides middle-office solutions to portfolio managers through its asset management services division, formerly known as IA Sciences Inc.
“We work with MoneyWare on a number of common clients, so this acquisition is a natural and complementary fit,” said Perimeter executive vice president, Chris Jackson, in a news release. “We also recognized a significant opportunity to leverage our joint expertise to develop a number of new offerings to a broader range on institutions over the next six to 12 months,” he added.
