The Montreal Exchange established a new equity option trading record on January 21, TMX Group Inc., the exchange’s operator, said Monday.
205,910 contracts were traded, which surpassed the previous record of 183,136 contracts set on Dec. 17, 2010.
Total trading volume on MX in 2010 was 44,296,907 contracts, which represents a 27.5% increase compared to 2009.
