More fund companies have announced the appointment of their initial members of their independent review committees in accordance with national securities regulations requiring independent review committees for public investment funds.
Under the requirements of National Instrument 81-107, initial members of a firm’s IRC must be appointed by May 1 and full compliance with NI 81-107 must be achieved by Nov. 1. All IRC members are independent from the firms they will serve.
AegonFund Management established an IRC for the imaxxFund mutual funds. The committee’s three members are: J. Anne Lamont, Adele S. Malo, and Gerry Merklye. They are appointed for an intial term of two years.
AIC Limited and Copernican Capital Corp. appointed David Sharpless, John Doma, and James O’Donnell to their IRC.
Sarbit Asset Management Inc. appointed Ed Buss, Catherine Kloepfer, and David Stangeland to its IRC.
