(June 6 – 10:05 ET) – A global summit on venture capital is slated for July 11 – 13 in Montreal.

The Capital 2000 Summit bills itself as the first worldwide summit on venture capital and private equity investment. The event is being organized by the world’s top venture capital and private equity associations from around the world. Over 80 speakers will discuss important trends and the characteristics of investing in Asia, Europe and the Americas.

The conference will also look at strategies for maximizing the value of portfolio companies, insights on how to initiate, negotiate and close transactions in different countries, and mechanisms to raise capital at the international level. Speakers will also provide an in-depth survey of key sectors of investment for the 21st century.
