Toronto-based insurance advisory firm Sterling Park Financial Group is now a part of business and accounting services firm MNP.
Sterling Park’s co-founding partners Zak Goldman and Jonah Mayles have both joined MNP as partners, adding to MNP’s insurance and tax planning capacity. Their offerings include estate plans, pre-funding estate taxes, intergenerational wealth transfer planning and charitable donation strategies.
The Sterling Park brand was retired on Mar. 3, Goldman said in an email.
“We’ve had the opportunity to work with MNP’s partners with some mutual clients over the past few years,” Goldman said. “Going through the merger process we could not have imagined a better fit.”
“We’re excited to bring the Sterling Park team into the MNP fold,” Tanya Knight, executive vice-president of clients and services at MNP, said in a release on Thursday. “We look forward to working closely with them and their team as we move forward with integrating them into our family office offerings.”
Goldman and Mayles previously joined Gluskin Sheff Financial Services in 2022, as vice-presidents of insurance and estate planning specialists. When Gluskin Sheff was transferred to RBC in 2023, the duo decided not to join RBC and returned to Sterling Park until this merger, Goldman said.
