Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc. today announced that it been chosen by Many Nations Financial Services Ltd. as the supplier for its multi-employer pension plan.
Many Nations is a subsidiary of Many Nations Benefit Co-operative, the largest Indigenous employee benefit co-operative in Canada. The pension plan to be administered by Industrial Alliance has more than $87 million in assets under management and 6,000 employees.
Members from all of Industrial Alliance’s Group Pension Sales, Marketing, Administration and Customer Service teams participated in the selection process. “I think we succeeded in showing our great ability to adapt to the needs of our clients,” says René Chabot, senior vp of the Industrial Alliance group pension division.
This agreement has great significance for Many Nations and for Industrial Alliance because of its size and growth potential.
“We’re seeking to establish a long-term relationship with Industrial Alliance. We wish to extend Industrial Alliance’s excellent service to other Indigenous groups across Canada,” says Judy Liland, president of Many Nations Financial Services Ltd.
Many Nations is focused on providing a full range of insurance and investment products to more than 300 Indigenous organizations with over 10,000 members across Canada.
