The Investment Industry Association of Canada (IIAC) is calling for nominations for its annual IIAC Top Under 40 Award.

The award aims to recognize the new generation of talented, industrious young professionals who have brought distinction to the investment and financial industry.

“The calibre of past nominees and recipients has been truly excellent and portends a bright future for the securities industry,” says Ian Russell, IIAC president and CEO, in a statement.

“Their passion for the investment business and commitment to giving back is worthy of acclaim,” he adds. “We are calling on members of the public to put forth the names of outstanding individuals for consideration for the 2018 IIAC Top Under 40 Award.”

The 2018 recipient will be announced and celebrated at the IIAC Top Under 40 Award Luncheon on Oct. 25 in Toronto. The winner will also be recognized later that evening at the Investment Industry Hall of Fame Gala Dinner and Induction Ceremony.

Last year’s winner was Matthew Rodier, who runs his own practice, Montreal-based Rodier Asset Management, under the umbrella of TD Wealth Private Wealth Management.

The call for 2018 nominations closes at 5:00 p.m. ET on June 1. More details on award criteria are available in the association’s news release.
