Canada’s investment funds industry is launching an online magazine – InformedInvestor.ific.ca — to educate investors about current and upcoming changes in the industry.

Produced by The Investment Funds Institute of Canada in conjunction with the Custom Content Group of The Globe and Mail, the magazine is a microsite that helps investors develop a better understanding of investment funds with in-depth pieces on phase two of the Client Relationship Model (CRM2), the value of a financial advisor, understanding risk and more.

The report features interviews with Canada’s first Financial Literacy Leader Jane Rooney, Blake Goldring, chairman and CEO of AGF Management Ltd, and Tom Hamza, president of the Ontario Securities Commission’s Investor Education Fund. It also features a guest column by IFIC president and CEO, Joanne De Laurentiis, outlining how investors should prepare for CRM2.

The ultimate goal of the microsite is to inform Canadians about changes in the investment fund industry in a clear, transparent, and educational manner.
