Running from Sept. 23 to 25 in Toronto, the theme of the conference is Leadership 2008: Setting a Course through Turbulent Times. It will cover a variety of relevant topics currently facing Canada’s investment fund industry.

Workshops will address such topics as trends in the “financial blogosphere,” Islamic Finance, and point of sale regulation, among others.

The conference also features interactive panel discussions that will provide commentary and debate on successful investment strategies and the changing regulatory landscape.

The conference features a roster of more than 25 high-profile presenters, including CBC News anchor Peter Mansbridge, New York Times best selling author Dan Ariely and national pollster Allan Gregg.

Oliver Murray, the incoming chairman of IFIC, will kick off the conference with opening remarks tomorrow.
