The Investment Funds Institute of Canada Friday announced its board members and executive for the 2014-15 year.
Brian Peters, president & CEO, MD Physician Services Inc., continues as chairman.
John Adams, CEO, PFSL Investments Ltd. is elected first vice chairman, and Sian Burgess, senior vice president, fund oversight, Fidelity Investments, is elected second vice chairwoman.
“This is an exciting time to be at the helm of our rapidly changing industry,” Peters said in a release. “We are entering a new era of investor information, with the implementation of CRM2 over the next few years. CRM, combined with Fund Facts, is transforming Canadian investors’ access to information about the investment fund products they own.”
Ten directors whose terms were expiring were elected to serve for an additional three-year term and three ex officio directors were reappointed for a one-year term, in accordance with IFIC’s by-laws.
The remaining 13 directors are continuing to serve out their terms.
