The Alberta District Council of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada has levied a $50,000 fine against on registered rep with the Drumheller branch office of BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. for failing to co-operate with an IDA investigation.

Following a disciplinary hearing on June 15, 2004, the Alberta District Council found Naeema Crittallin breach of By-law 19.5 and ordered her to demonstrate, within 90 days of the hearing, her intent to cooperate with the association’s investigation, including attending an interview with IDA staff and producing documents as requested by the IDA.

The Alberta District Council fined Ms. Crittall $50,000; imposed a temporary ban on registration of 90 days to provide an opportunity for her to come forward and provide the information and cooperation in the investigation as required; and costs of $15,800. After 90 days, the registration ban will become permanent.

In addition, the Alberta District Council allowed Crittall to seek leave to have the amount of the fine reviewed should she satisfactorily demonstrate cooperation with the Association’s investigation within the 90 day period.
