The Investment Dealers Association of Canada has amended its by-laws to include the immediate past chairman of the National Advisory Committee as a voting member of the National Advisory Committee.
The IDA’s board of directors has approved the amendment. The NAC will now consist of the chairmen of the district councils, the immediate past chairman of the NAC, the regional directors, and the senior VP, industry relations and representation.
The NAC is a forum that considers issues which are advanced by district councils as well as a group which provides input on national interests.
The IDA says that the contribution by a chair was considered sufficiently important that it would be a considerable benefit to the committee to have that individual continue as a resource after their term expires.
