Hillsdale Investment Management Inc. today announced the official launch its in-house institutional investment services team following the recent addition of Harry Marmer, executive vp, institutional investment services.
This culmination of a multi-year process marks the end of Hillsdale’s relationship with Twenty First Century Investments Inc., an independent investment management marketing organization that has been under contract to Hillsdale since June 2003.
“This evolution is possible because of the success we have enjoyed together,” says Chris Guthrie, Hillsdale president and CEO. “We have reached a critical mass that has enabled us to launch our own in-house Institutional Services team.”
Bob Stewart, president, Twenty First Century Investments Inc., adds, “Our relationship with Hillsdale was particularly satisfying because, from our first meetings, we felt they deserved recognition as one of the premier, return and risk-management specialists in the business and many Canadian institutions came to the same conclusion; we wish them continued success in Canada and beyond as their new strength will enable them to expand their horizons.”
Hillsdale’s dedicated institutional team of seven, led by Marmer, will now work directly with both sponsors and consultants assisting them in their needs and requirements. Key professionals include John Motherwell and Johnny Quigley covering institutional investors in Canada; Allan Hutton providing services to the consultant community in North America and Chen Yongjian leading the marketing services efforts.
Toronto-based Hillsdale is an independent boutique investment firm providing a full range of traditional, advanced equity and alternative investment strategies to both institutional and individual investors.
