Kirit Gohill, former Western Region vice president of Vector Intermediaries and president of Bow Valley Insurance Services (1992) Ltd., announced today that he has purchased the Bow Valley Insurance Services branches in the City of Calgary.
“Bow Valley Insurance is one the leading insurance brokerages in Calgary,” said Gohill, in a news release “I am delighted to purchase these successful and vibrant operations, and to continue to offer our clients the professional, hands-on service that they have been accustomed to receiving for the past 25 years.”
. Gohill co-founded Bow Valley Insurance Services in 1979. He sold the business to Toronto-based Vector Intermediaries Inc. in 1995, remaining as president of the Alberta branches of the Vector network. Gohill has now reacquired the Calgary branches known as Bow Valley Insurance Services (1992) Ltd.
Bow Valley Insurance provides a full line of personal home and auto insurance, specializes in long-haul trucking, group auto and home and recreation vehicle insurance. It is one of the larger brokerages in Calgary, employing 44 people at its Northwest, Southwest, and 17th Avenue locations.
“This acquisition is the start of a longer term plan to expand and acquire more agencies,” said Gohill. “This acquisition will position Bow Valley Insurance Services to grow as Calgary grows.”
