Toronto-based Fundata Canada Inc. handed out hundreds of FundGrade A+ awards on Wednesday to Canadian investment funds.
Fifty-seven companies were recognized at the annual event. Mutual funds accounted for 206 A+ grades for 2021, while 62 went to ETFs, 115 to segregated funds and three to responsible investing funds.
The total of 386 winning funds represent about 6% of eligible mutual funds and 7% of eligible ETFs tracked by Fundata, a release said.
The awards are given to investment funds and managers that have shown “consistent, outstanding, risk-adjusted performance” incorporating up to 10 years of history, it said.
