Deutsche Bank has beefed up its energy sales and trading business in Calgary.
The firm has hired four new directors for its commodities business — Raymond Houghton, Mike Kardash, David Lake, and Alan Wright.
Houghton, Kardash and Lake join the bank’s natural gas trading business from Northern Lights Capital Advisors, a division of Centaurus Energy.
Wright is responsible for Canadian commodity sales. He comes from TD Securities, where he led the energy sales and origination team.
“This expansion builds upon our existing success in providing our clients with strategic advice and access to the global capital markets,” said Paul Jurist, managing director and chief country officer for Canada.
