Quebec-based investment dealers only have seven days left to enrol in the National Registration Database, cautions the Autorité des marchés financiers.
As of January 5, 2005, all firms governed by the Quebec Securities Act will have to register their representatives in NRD. However, before being able to record information regarding their representatives, firms will have to enrol in NRD. The deadline for NRD enrolment by firms is November 30.
In a notice, the AMF says that every firm subject to NRD must respect this deadline, noting that the NRD administrator (CDS Inc.) will not be able to process enrolment applications submitted after November 30.
One-day training sessions will be available as of December 2, 2004 to help firms register their reps and in using NRD. As of December 20, firms will be able to add information regarding branches.
