Morningstar Research Inc. will hold its 17th annual Morningstar Canadian Investment Awards Gala on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto.
Improv comedian Colin Mochrie will host the gala, and his wife, actress Debra McGrath, will accompany him.
“Building off the success of last year’s gala, this year we are incorporating music and comedic entertainment with the award line-up. On Nov. 30, we will recognize the industry’s most outstanding achievements of 2011. Awards will be presented to companies and individuals in recognition of superior investment products, service, marketing and education,” says Scott Mackenzie, president and CEO of Morningstar Research Inc.
Morningstar has added four new awards to the awards line-up: best stewardship; best fund of funds; domestic equity fund manager of the year; and foreign equity fund manager of the year.
The evening features a networking cocktail reception, the awards dinner, and an after-party celebrating the launch of the 2012 Canadian Investment Guide, published by Investment Executive.
Individual tickets are $339 plus HST and range from $3,000-$4,500 plus HST for a table of 10.
Full event details, including the complete awards line-up and online ticket sales, are available at www.investmentawards.com.
For the second year, the charitable partner of the awards is MusiCounts, the Canadian music-education charity associated with The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, the organization behind the nationally televised JUNO Awards. MusiCount’s mission is to provide students with access to comprehensive music programs in Canadian schools. A portion of the proceeds from submission-based awards will be donated to MusiCounts.
