CIBC World Markets today announced it raised $10,543,783 worldwide to benefit children’s charities as a result of its recent Miracle Day fundraising event.
In Canada, Miracle Day generated $3.7 million that will benefit more than 400 children’s charities that are dedicated to improving the health, well-being and education of children in communities across the country.
Each year on Miracle Day – this year held on Dec. 7 – sales and trading staff at CIBC World Markets and CIBC Wood Gundy donate their fees and commissions to benefit children’s charities.
“Miracle Day continues to be a success because of the dedication and enthusiasm of our employees and clients,” said Susan Storey, chairwoman, CIBC World Markets Children’s Miracle Foundation and Managing Director, CIBC World Markets.
“Miracle Day makes a difference in the lives of thousands of children and we are proud to continue to support the communities in which we operate.”
Since its inception in 1984, Miracle Day has raised more than
$168 million worldwide.
