CIBC Mellon has taken on a new look with the introduction of a new
logo and the opening of its new Banking Hall office space at 320 Bay Street in Toronto.

CIBC Mellon says its new brand and logo continue to reflect the relationship of each parent company – CIBC and Mellon – by drawing on the word styles of each parents’ logo. At the same time, by using a distinct image, the new design conveys the fully integrated company that CIBC Mellon is.

As part of its re-branding initiative, CIBC Mellon has formulated its brand promise: The Freedom to Focus on Your World.

The company is officially opening its new office space located in the Grand Central Corridor of the Banking Hall in the heart of Toronto’s financial district. Built in 1929, the Banking Hall has been
restored to its original grandeur while combining traditional architecture with leading edge technologies. Detailed craftsmanship of historical significance has been preserved. New features include state-of-the-art presentation rooms for showcasing CIBC Mellon’s latest service innovations.

Playing a key role in the restoration was the design firm Smith Grimley Harris Design Partners. Carruthers Shaw and Partners Architects, led by Peter Ortved, worked closely with Smith Grimley Harris on the project.
