One Canadian financial services company is giving people a different reason to investigate RRSPs this year. FaithLife Financial is offering people a chance to do something special for their church or favourite charity.

This RRSP season, FaithLife Financial will turn five people across Canada into Christian Community Heroes. The not-for-profit member organization is awarding five prizes of $1,000 to donate to a Christian church or charity of the winner’s choice. Anyone who meets with a FaithLife Financial representative to discuss investments by the end of February can enter the draw.

Dave and Mary Koehler of St. Agatha, Ont. won $1,000 last year and chose Children’s Homes International to receive their donation. “We supported Children’s Homes International because it’s a local organization that helps children suffering from poverty, violence or neglect,” says Mary. “This contest is a wonderful idea. Any charity would be grateful to receive this kind of unexpected gift.”

“The contest could benefit a lot of people,” explains FaithLife Financial President and CEO Dieter Kays. “The chance of winning will give some people the extra incentive to examine their financial future. At the same time, five churches or charities will benefit from a $1,000 donation. These gifts then help more people through the programs and projects of these organizations.”

FaithLife Financial is a not-for-profit financial services organization serving Canadian Christians.
