Toronto-based Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC), which oversees the certified financial planner (CFP) designation, on Wednesday announced the addition of three new members to its President’s List.

The list honours candidates who achieve the highest marks on the CFP final examination.

For the June 2018 sitting of the CFP exam, the honourees are: Katelyn Culliton of Waterloo, Ont., in first place, and Neal Kongkham of London, Ont., and Blair Evans of Winnipeg, both tied for second place. All three candidate received CFP certification.

Members of the President’s List were recognized from a total of 473 candidates who wrote the six-hour examination. Successful CFP examination candidates with three years of relevant work experience are eligible to apply for CFP certification.

“Congratulations to Katelyn, Neal and Blair for their outstanding performance on this challenging examination,” FPSC president and CEO Cary List says in a statement. “CFP certification represents the highest level of knowledge, skills, experience and ethics expected of the financial planning profession. We wish these individuals success in their careers as CFP professionals.”

President’s List recipients will be recognized at FPSC’s Celebration of the Profession Dinner in Toronto on Nov. 20, during Financial Planning Week.
