FP Canada, which oversees the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, announced on Thursday the addition of three new members to its President’s List.
The list honours candidates who achieved the highest marks on the final CFP examination.
For the November 2019 sitting of the CFP exam, first, second and third place went to, respectively: Michelle Seymour from Calgary, Alta.; Garrett Boekestyn from Listowel, Ont.; and Trevor Skidmore from Winnipeg, Man.
The three stood out among a record number of 1,389 candidates who wrote the exam that month. They’ll be recognized at the Celebration of the Profession Dinner at the Carlu in Toronto on Nov. 24 as a part of Financial Planning Week.
To qualify for the six-hour exam, candidates must complete FP Canada–Approved Core Curriculum and Advanced Curriculum programs, the FP Canada Institute Introduction to Professional Ethics course and the CFP Professional Education Program.
The next sitting takes place on Jun. 4.
