Cannabis company Canopy Growth Corp. headlines the Toronto Stock Exchange’s (TSX) new list of the 30 top-performing companies on the exchange.
The TSX launched a new initiative on Thursday, touting the 30 stocks that are its top performers based on dividend-adjusted share price over the past three years.
The TSX30 is led by Canopy Growth, with a 1,823% gain; followed by tech firm, Shopify Inc. (883%) and agriculture company Village Farms International Inc. (868%).
The rest of the list is dominated by resource companies, with a handful of tech stocks and other sectors represented, but no financials.
“We are extremely proud to present the TSX30, a new recognition program featuring some of the most compelling success stories among our listed issuers, including companies operating in traditional areas of strength like natural resources and also in newly defined sectors like clean tech and cannabis,” said Loui Anastasopoulos, president, capital formation, at the TMX Group.
