The Calgary offices of both the Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) and the TSX Venture Exchange were closed Friday due to severe flooding in downtown Calgary.
The ASC said its downtown Calgary offices were closed June 21, due to significant flooding from the Bow River.
“The City of Calgary has declared a local state of emergency and the mandatory evacuation order for the Eau Claire area remains in effect,” it notes, adding that, “Centennial Place will stay closed until the mandatory evacuation order has been lifted and it is safe to open the building.”
Additionally, the TSX Venture Exchange said its offices in Calgary were also closed at the request of local authorities.
