Tye Bousada, former lead manager at AIM Trimark’s Trimark Fund, has created a new firm, EdgePoint Capital Partners, the company announced today.

Robert Krembil, co-founder of mutual fund giant Trimark, has become a shareholder in the new firm, Edgepoint said in a release. Krembil is investing through his holding company, Chiefswood Holdings Ltd.

Bousada is president and founder of Cymbria Capital Corp., which wholly owns EdgePoint.

According to the news release, EdgePoint will be seeking applicable securities regulatory approvals.

Krembil led Trimark until it was acquired by Invesco Ltd. in 2000.
