Toronto-based Bank of Montreal (TSX:BMO) has received a 2013 Model Bank Impact Award from global financial services research firm Celent for the bank’s online tool, BMO Bank by Appointment.
This is the second year in a row that BMO has received a model bank award from Celent. It is the only Canadian bank to do so in that time.
Celent presents the annual award to banks that have successfully developed and rolled out banking technology that impacts business and customers.
Introduced in May 2012, the BMO Bank by Appointment tool allows bank clients and potential customers to book branch appointments online.

More than 29,000 appointments have been booked using the tool since its launch.
