BMO Harris Private Banking has been selected as the best private bank in Canada by Euromoney Magazine.
The Euromoney survey identified companies that are recognized by competitors and industry players as leaders in private banking services. The survey included 38 categories that were designed to reflect the strengths of both local niche companies and global firms, ultimately establishing which providers were deemed to be the best.
“We are delighted that BMO Harris Private Banking is so well regarded by our counterparts around the world. International peer recognition in this industry is especially meaningful, given the long history and success private banking has enjoyed globally,” says Terry Jenkins, senior VP and executive managing director, BMO Harris Private Banking.
Euromoney received completed questionnaires from more than 70 per cent of the 1,000 private banks contacted to participate in the survey. The top ranked firms are those that provide the most services at the highest level, with the greatest degree of success. All answers pertained to the year from June 1, 2002 to June 1, 2003. Respondents have been kept confidential.
This is the first year Euromoney has produced this survey, which was published in the January issue. The winners will receive their awards at a black-tie gala in London in late February.
