The Autorité des marchés financiers has issued a notice seeking consultation on its proposal to amend the by-law governing the Chambre de l’assurance de dommages.
The Chambre is a regulatory body that was created on October 1, 1999, to regulate property & casualty insurance agents, brokers and claims adjusters in Quebec. It disciplines insurance representatives, supervises the professional practice of individuals and firms, and oversees the training of reps.
The draft is located in the Distribution of Financial Products and Services section of the AMF’s bulletin. It seeks comment by November 22.
