Allstate Insurance Company of Canada today unveiled the new Allstate Insurance Agency that will be used to sell and distribute Allstate insurance products.

“Allstate has been a very successful property and casualty insurer in Canada for over a half a century, but we have reached a fork in the road,” said Mike Donoghue, president and CEO, in a news release. “If we are going to continue to deliver on the high-quality customer service that our customers have come to expect and deserve, as well as meet our business goals and remain competitive then we must chart a new course.”

Allstate is redesigning the look and feel of its Neighbourhood Agent Offices and they will be deployed in strategic locations that are more highly visible and accessible. The new offices will create a consistent delivery model that will enhance a customer’s experience with Allstate by providing access to a team of experienced and knowledgeable Allstate agents who will each be accountable for managing specific aspects of a customers needs.

“Allstate is embarking down an exciting new path that will enhance our agent distribution model in order to better respond to customer expectations and to the demands of a changing marketplace,” said Christianne Dostie, vp of Allstate. “We are building on the “You’re in Good Hands” legacy by strengthening the relationship with our customer and enhancing the level of service they receive by providing access to a team of experienced and knowledgeable Allstate agents,” Dostie said.

The first new Allstate Insurance Agency is expected to be rolled out in Quebec in the fall of 2007. Additional Allstate Insurance Agency offices are expected to be opened in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick in the first quarter of 2008 and in Ontario and Alberta throughout 2008.

“The competitive landscape of the insurance marketplace has shifted subtly but significantly over the past couple of years and Canadian consumers deserve an insurance delivery system that is responsive to their needs. Competition is fierce and companies continue to re-evaluate their current position in the market and are taking actions which will further change our industry in the future. Allstate will be on the leading edge of the evolving marketplace,” Donoghue added.
