The Alberta Insurance Council is asking consumers for input on regulations governing the distribution of certain insurance products in the province.
The Council is calling on Albertans who have recently purchased “travel insurance with a vacation or trip, vehicle warranty insurance or Creditor group life and/or accident and sickness insurance with a loan or mortgage,” to participate in an online survey.
All of the responses collected will be used to make recommendations to Alberta’s Finance and Enterprise Minister regarding regulations governing distribution of these insurance products in the province.
To survey is hosted on the Alberta Insurance Council website.
The Council is responsible for the licensing and regulation of insurance agents, brokers and adjusters in the province of Alberta. AIC also investigates consumer complaints relating to the activities of insurance companies.
