AGF Funds Inc. has launched an online program, designed to help advisors more effectively manage risk for their clients and in their practices.
The Changing Risk program features a brand new Web site (www.changingrisk.com) that advisors can access 24/7 to find articles, tools, templates and other valuable resources to help them build their practices and work more effectively with their clients.
AGF has partnered with leading advisor expert Stephen Gresham to develop strategies and value-added resources to help advisors change risks into opportunities, especially during periods of market volatility.
The Changing Risk program focuses on three areas, providing advisors with tools to help them more effectively manage risk:
> in their day-to-day practice, such as business efficiency and client account management;
> for their clients, such as retirement planning and market volatility; and
> in building and maintaining clients’ portfolios for the long term.
Topics covered in the program include: how to more effectively generate referrals; how to build the ideal client base; and how to cater effectively to baby boomers.
“There seems to be an unspoken understanding among financial advisors that the industry will enter a golden age as boomer retirees turn to them for assistance. But these individuals have special financial needs that are very different from the ones you may have been providing to younger clients. If you aren’t ready to fill these new needs, don’t expect to reap the rewards of the giant baby boomer wealth transfer. In fact, rather than win new business, you may actually lose old clients,” says Gresham.
The Web site is password protected and designed for financial advisors. Advisors wanting to access the site should contact their AGF sales representative to set up their user name and password.
“At AGF we pride ourselves on listening to financial advisors. They have told us that they are looking for help in managing risk, so we are pleased to provide them with comprehensive advisor solutions programs and services,” says Randy Ambrosie, AGF Funds Inc
“Our new Web site is the latest AGF initiative, which complements a host of other business-building tools we offer,” he adds.
