The Association of Canadian Pension Management (ACPM) is applauding the release of the report of the Joint Expert Panel on Pensions Standards regarding pension reform in Alberta and British Columbia.
As was the case with the recent release of a similar pension Report in Ontario, ACPM will now be reviewing the content of the JEPPS Report with equal interest over the coming days, the association said Wednesday.
ACPM, like many other stakeholders, has been very committed to this review process, having made both written and verbal submissions, providing the Joint Panel with its perspectives on pension reform.
“Co-chairs Chris Brown and Scott Sweatman, together with their JEPPS colleagues John Davies, Elaine Noel-Bentley, John Tackaberry and John Gilfoyle are to be commended for their tireless efforts addressing the difficult issues affecting the pension systems in Alberta and British Columbia”, said Scott Perkin, president of the ACPM, in a release.
“We encourage the governments in these two provinces to initiate further discussions with stakeholders in order to advance joint pension reform in Alberta and B.C.,” Perkin added.
